My home on the golf course is going back in foreclosure
in about thirty (30) days. That is not much time to do anything
about saving the house. Of course, I have been trying to come up
with some way of saving the house ever since I stopped making
mortgage payments in November of 2007 (almost a year ago). Out
of desperation, I am going to hand out fliers at the next real
estate auction - hopefully over this coming weekend. Surely,
there is an auction somewhere this weekend in the area.
The brochure is really
just a one page ad with a picture of the house, a header that
says "Investment Partnership", details on the deal and contact
information. In large print, I have "$100,000 Buys Partial
Ownership Interest". I would need about ten (10) investors with
that much money, but I had to put some number; and I did not
want to go below $100,000 and have to worry about getting too
many investors although I am not opposed to that.
Hopefully, this will
garner some sort of interest. After all, the people who go to
these real estate auctions are looking for deals on real estate
and they have money. I need to go where the money is, and this
is my best bet in the current market. Now, I just have to find
where the next auctions are; and I have to print out these
fliers.
I have already emailed
the fliers to several local real estate agents whom I have
worked with in the past. I have asked them for leads to auctions
and to email out my flier to any potential investors that they
have. I need to post this on CraigsList.com as well. I will do
that tonight. If you have ideas about this latest real estate
