I got an email today from a reader who had just found my
web site and had spent all morning reading all of my entries.
She was worried about foreclosure and losing her home. In her
email, she stated that she felt comfort in knowing that she was
not alone in her financial problems. I take comfort in knowing
that I have been able to help at least one person know that they
are not alone. It is a good feeling. Granted, our circumstances
may be vastly different; but we share common concerns, and we
have many of the same emotions. Just voicing those concerns,
fears and worries can be very liberating. Also, many people are
ashamed of going through difficult financial times. Being
ashamed, they try to hide their problems so that family and
friends will not find out. Believe me, if it comes to losing
your home, they are going to find out. Go ahead and openly
discuss it. Do not overly burden your family and friends, but do
not be afraid to tell them the truth. After all, they are your
family and friends. They should be there for you in the good
times and in the bad times.
It is always good to hear
from my readers out there. Keep the dialogue coming. Email me.
